Gurgaon Metro RMGL

Gurgaon Rapid Metro, a light rapid transit system is located in the city of Gurugram. It began operation on 14 November 2013 and since then it has been serving the people of Gurugram. Today it is the most preferred transport solution for areas in and around Cyber City, DLF Phase 2, DLF Phase 3, NH – 8 and Golf Course Road up to Sector 55-56 Gurugram.

The concept of rapid metro Gurgaon was started as a collaborative venture between DLF and Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS). But due to financial problems DLF pulled out and IL&FS became the sole owner. Rapid Metro is the first fully privately financed modern metro system in the world. The Union Government, Government of Haryana or any public sector undertaking did not make any kind of investments on this project.

However, on 22nd October, 2019, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) took over the operations and maintenance of the Rapid Metro Link. Currently, Delhi Metro is committed towards maintaining a smooth and trouble free metro service in Gurugram.

Gurgaon Rapid Metro is also the second metro system serving the people of Gurgaon. Delhi Metro Yellow Line also passes through the city at Sikandarpur Metro Station.

In fact, Gurgaon rapid metro route has been successful in providing commuters residing in far away residential areas in Gurgaon as well as to people working in the industrial office complexes of Gurgaon a reliable and fast transportation facility.

Gurgaon rapid metro operates every day. The Rapid Metro Timings fixed from 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM. It maintains a frequency of 4.30 minutes during morning peak hours and 5.15 minutes during evening peak hours.
