The Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra, and the wider metropolitan region. As of August 2018, Mumbai metro consisted of 1 operational line (Line 1 - elevated metro from Versova to Ghatkopar), and 4 lines under various stages of construction.

Mumbai Metro Line 1 is operated by Mumbai Metro One Private Limited (MMOPL), a joint venture between Reliance Infrastructure, MMRDA, and Veolia Transport RATP Asia, France.
